One little known secret is that Moen guarantees its parts for life. If you ever have an issue, call up your local country Moen headquarters and after filling out a form and sending them photos of your problem, they will send you the parts. You will need to figure out what faucet you have. There is a feature on their website to let you identify your Moen fixture if you don't know or obtained it with the house from a previous owner or the builder (like I did). In those cases you will not have a receipt. No worries! Just explain that when filling out your form.

For this job you will need a Philips head ("+") screwdriver, a Flat-head ("-") screwdriver, and an adjustable wrench (I use something called a "pipe wrench pliers"). You will also need an allen-key (hex) but fortunately it is supplied by Moen (as you will see in the video). Just in case, you should have a set of allen keys around. There is also a small plastic tool that Moen will supply to help...

A pull out kitchen faucet is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. This type of faucet has a sprayer head that is removed from the base of the faucet for doing larger cleaning jobs. This can be in the form of a large pot that does not fit under a normal sink. While using this type of faucet is a great convenience, they are still wrought with the same problems. Namely, they can begin to leak after several years of use. These leaks are easily repaired by changing some parts.

Step 1: Remove Aerator

If the pull out kitchen faucet is leaking at the spout, the problem is generally the aerator head. Screw this portion of the faucet off and take a look on the inside. If there is a lot of water deposits, you can clean this by setting the faucet head in some vinegar for about 30 minutes. You can also use a toothpick to remove the deposits from the openings.

Step 2: Replace Hose

Another place where the pull out faucet will begin to leak is in the hose itself....

The tap is the predicament, now not the valve beneath it. When you simply bought the faucet, it should not have any washers in it. Washerless faucets have been the norm for 15 to twenty years now. You must change o rings or complete cartridges and the cartridge valve seats. Cartridges are designed to simply work one way, however will also be mounted backwards, so pay close awareness to recommendations that come in the bundle. To get the proper constituents, you want the company of the tap (Moen, Peerless or some thing) and also you must understand if it is a one handle or two control faucet and if it's a conceit or kitchen faucet. When getting these parts, you're better of going to a small ironmongery store or plumbing supply store. They do promote them at Lowe's and house Depot, but the personalized, reliable and informed purchaser provider at a small hardware or plumbing supply retailer is helpful if you do not know precisely what you want. "Moen 7430W Glacier white kitchen faucet" - By tuit

Purchased to replace a old leaking and corroded kitchen faucet. Installation was easy, even though I'm not a plumber. Item was shipped promptly, the white finish is perfect and has no cosmetic blemishes, does not appear to be a factory seconds as I figured it to be. The supply lines are part of the faucet and are plenty long enough to reach the floor. Only possible problem I could see is if you have a older home that does not have shut off valves on your supply lines. this faucet requires the shut off valves due to the steel braded hoses. All lines go thru only one hole but still requires a 4 hole sink, the seal plate uses 2 of the holes to keep the faucet base from turning. Only regret is,,, I should not have waited so long to replace...

If a gooseneck faucet leaks, it's typically in one of three locations -- at the base of the faucet spout, the handle base or the cartridge inside the handle escutcheon. The leaks are due to O-ring or spout cartridge deterioration. O-ring kits are available so that you can replace each old part as well as the cartridges. Replacing these parts can take less than half an hour and will save you money, since you won't have to replace the entire sink faucet. American Standard clearly states its part numbers so customers can find or order parts at home repair retailers or part providers online. The O-ring replacements may differ slightly due to American Standard gooseneck variations, but they will be very similar.

Locate the faucet's hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Turn each valve off by rotating the handles clockwise. Check that the water to the faucets is off by turning on the hot and cold handles at the faucet location.

You need to remove the tub spout, but taking it off seems close to impossible.

Professional plumbers use a "strap wrench" to remove fittings that could be scratched, but chances are you don't have one of those in your toolbox. You can make do with a pair of slip-joint pliers. Jam the handles into the mouth of the spout until they are secure, and then turn the spout counterclockwise.

It will be days before you can replace the washer in your bathroom faucet, but by then you'll have severe sleep deprivation from the sound of the dripping.

Tie a long string around the end of the faucet so that the water drips onto the string and runs down it silently.

Many lever-action stoppers don't form a watertight seal against the drain. Fortunately, the fix is...
