Does anyone recognize this bath faucet & handle?

Hey noni, welcome to the Community!

Unfortunately, there seem to be more styles and types of bathroom faucet handles than I can count. At Home Depot stores you will find a roughly 5’ wall section with the most common handles carried. On-line, currently carries just under 300 faucet handles. You can find them here.

While it’s unlikely that the handle you bought is defective, it is quite possible that another handle choice may fit better. Some replacement handles come with adapters which allow a proper fit on a variety of faucets, (see the pictures below).

If the last handle you bought has an adapter underneath, maybe turning or flipping it over will allow the handle to completely seat on your faucet. If not I recommend that you take the handle you have to your local store’s plumbing department and see if a better fitting one is available. Since the new handle looks like the original one, it should be likely that an in-store...

You need to remove the tub spout, but taking it off seems close to impossible.

Professional plumbers use a "strap wrench" to remove fittings that could be scratched, but chances are you don't have one of those in your toolbox. You can make do with a pair of slip-joint pliers. Jam the handles into the mouth of the spout until they are secure, and then turn the spout counterclockwise.

It will be days before you can replace the washer in your bathroom faucet, but by then you'll have severe sleep deprivation from the sound of the dripping.

Tie a long string around the end of the faucet so that the water drips onto the string and runs down it silently.

The water starts draining from your bathtub as soon as you have it filled.

Many lever-action stoppers don't form a watertight seal against the drain. Fortunately, the fix...

Installing New Valves (GP77005-RP and GP77006-RP) In A Two Handle Faucet

Although Kohler faucets are made with the highest quality, like anything else with moving parts, they may need service from time to time. Kohler faucets are designed for the homeowner to repair. Installing new valves in a two handle faucet is something almost anyone can do!

First turn off the water to your faucet and remove the handle. On most two handled faucets, this can be done by unscrewing the bonnet under the lever. On knob style faucets, there should be a plug button over a screw to remove the handle.

Once the handle is removed you will be able to see the top of the valve. Some faucets will have an adaptor over the stem of the valve. You will want to remove this, and save it to use once the new valve is installed.

Using an adjustable or fixed wrench, or even a 5/8 inch deep socket wrench, loosen the valve by turning it...

Taking this picture to your local lighting showroom would be a great start! You may look at some brands like Minka Lavery, Capital lighting and Quorum for a similar look that would coordinate nicely...if not the same family. There are a lot of vendors who do a similar look so it may be difficult to find the exact match...BUT I am confident you will find something within those brands that will be a great compliment to your existing fixture. Good Luck!

I have tried to see the messages and responses on regarding SEIZED FAUCET HANDLE from December 2003, but cannot pull up all the messages.

I have bathtub handles installed about 40 years ago that started leaking. The handle has a bonnet ,and the bonnet part slips over a round housing over the stem . I removed the screw but could not pull off the handle. Purchased a faucet handle puller, used it till I bent the middle screw part, have sprayed under the bonnet and in screw hole with WD-40, Liquid Wrench and Lime Away. Also have hammered with a rubber mallet. Both handles are stuck and I have tried all the above several times over the last 15 months . One of the answers I could see regarding seized handles mentioned if WD-40 failed, break out the torch. Is anyone familiar with using a torch to loosen faucet handles?

I would appreciate any other hints also.

How do I turn the faucet off and on?

You may choose to operate the faucet as you would any standard single-handle faucet by moving handle to the on and off positions. You may also tap it on and off with a deliberate touch, like that of a mouse click on your computer.

Does the faucet need to be plugged in to an outlet?

No. Touch2O® and Touch2O.xt™ Technology faucets are powered by batteries, which are included in the box. An optional A/C adapter (EP73954) is available for purchase should you want to connect the faucet to a grounded, 3 prong electrical outlet.

Are there any safety concerns for my family and I, mixing water with electronics?

Delta® faucets featuring Touch2O Technology use the same touch sensing technology commonly found in...

Hello: drumstruck

The stem the handle slips onto is splined and so is the inside hole in the lever. The splines fit tightly together to prevent slippage. The splines do get calcium deposits in them and may even aquire some rust deposits. Vinegar is a good product to help loosen the calcium deposits.

Another solution chemical may also need to be applied after the vinegar. Liquid Wrench. Unpleasant smelling, messy at times and not as easy to apply but will help to loosen any rust, if there happens to be some. Apply the liquid per instructions and allow some time for it to absorb into the splines.

Than tap the handle and center shaft with the back end of a heavy duty screwdriver. Than start tapping and rapping while pulling on the lever. The tapping and rapping serves two purposes.

Relieves stress, frustrations, anger and tensions you're having....
And helps to jar loose any rust....

The pulling also helps to loosen the lever on the splined...

As a "faucet doctor" for several years, I've found that I ask this question most frequently: What brand is your faucet? It's not something most people know.

IAt one time faucets were standard models, put together out of similar parts with a different look on the outside. It was easy to fix them with an assortment of standard size washers. Now, every brand has their own sizes and types of washers, seats, or seals. It is like looking into different types of cars: no two makes are alike when it comes to finding replacement parts. Some companies do not even make replacement parts after ten years.

Here are a few essential things to look for before launching into fixing your...
